The success of Gooseneck all goes back to one core concept: taking care of our customers. When you buy from Gooseneck, you don’t just get a piece of equipment, you get the entire support of our Gooseneck Team: The Power Behind the Paint®.
Gooseneck Implement in Kenmare, North Dakota, was founded in 1974 by Daryl Borud and Tom Burkett. Unsure what to name their new John Deere dealership, they held a contest. Because Kenmare is located in the ‘gooseneck’ region of Ward County, and for being one of the active flyways for Snow Geese, Canada Geese and Gray Geese someone suggested Gooseneck Implement.
In 1989 Kevin Borud bought the dealership from his father and is still with the company today. We’ve continued to expand with locations in Minot, Mohall, Lansford and Stanley. In 2018, we made our largest expansion with the acquisition of Dakota Farm Equipment, a 5-location John Deere dealership in southwestern North Dakota and northwestern South Dakota.
We’re excited about adding the Duck Foot® Paddle Tines to our product line for harvest.
